Building a Stronger Community, One Program at a Time

At Hanna Community Center, we are dedicated to providing quality care and programming to low-income and minority youth and seniors in our community. Our programs include financial literacy, nutrition education, STEM-based programming, and arts programs such as dance, music, and art.

Our STEM-based programs are particularly exciting. We have partnered with Purdue University to offer engineering and biochemistry programs that provide hands-on learning experiences for students. We believe that by providing access to quality STEM education, we can help equip our youth with the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century.

In addition to STEM-based programs, we also offer a variety of arts programs. Our dance, music, and art programs allow youth and seniors to express themselves creatively while building self-confidence and social skills.

Additionally, we offer scholarships to our members to ensure that everyone has access to the resources they need to succeed. We believe that by providing quality programming and care, we can help build a stronger and more vibrant community for all.

100 Years in the Community

Reaching 100 years of service to the community is a significant milestone for Hanna Community Center. It is a testament to our dedication to serving low-income and minority families in the community and our commitment to providing quality programming and care. Our organization was born from the goals and dreams of the Lincoln School, a school that served African American students during the time of segregation. The Lincoln School aimed to provide education and resources to a community that was often overlooked and underserved. From those beginnings, Hanna Community Center was established, with a mission to continue serving families in the community with the same dedication and care. Our 100-year anniversary is not only a celebration of our past achievements but also a reaffirmation of our commitment to the community, as we strive to continue serving families for generations to come.

Hi, I'm Taylor, the marketing coordinator for Hanna Community Center, and I'm excited to welcome you to our new website! As we celebrate our 100 years of serving the community, we wanted to create a space where you can learn more about our programs and the impact we have had over the past century. We are proud of our commitment to education and care, and we believe that our new website reflects that commitment. Thank you for visiting, and we hope to see you at the center soon!
